⭕ The Ministry of Women's Affairs has released a fact sheet on the occasion of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, observed annually on June 4. The fact sheet highlights the grave humanitarian and legal situation faced by Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as a result of the serious violations committed against them by the Israeli occupation.

⭕ Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili, affirmed that Palestinian children are among the groups most affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression. They are subjected to systematic violations, including killing, injury, disability, detention, forced displacement, and deprivation of basic services, undermining their rights to life, health, education, and protection.

⭕ Al-Khalili stressed that the suffering endured by Palestinian children, particularly in the Gaza Strip, constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and calls for urgent international action to stop these crimes and ensure the protection they require.

⭕ The fact sheet noted that thousands of children have been killed, injured, or forcibly displaced since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip. It also highlighted the continued violations against children in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, such as settler attacks, arrests, forced displacement, and restrictions on access to education and essential services.

⭕ The fact sheet also addressed the conditions of child detainees in Israeli prisons and the violations, ill-treatment, and deprivation of fundamental rights they face, in addition to the profound psychological and social impacts resulting from war, violence, displacement, and the loss of family members.

⭕ Al-Khalili emphasized that protecting Palestinian children requires ending the policy of impunity and holding those responsible for violations accountable. She stressed that safeguarding Palestinian children is not only a national responsibility but also a legal and moral obligation of the entire international community, ensuring their right to life, dignity, security, and a safe and just future.
