The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Khalili at the graduation ceremony of the seventh and eighth cohorts of the "Palestinian" Mini-MBA program

Ramallah, June 9, 2026 - The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Khalili at the graduation ceremony of the seventh and eighth cohorts of the "Palestinian" Mini-MBA program, organized by Bank of Palestine in partnership with several national and international institutions supporting women's empowerment, aimed at developing the skills of businesswomen and enhancing their capabilities in management, leadership, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the support of small and medium enterprises and increasing women's participation in the Palestinian economy.

In her speech, Al-Khalili affirmed that the "Palestinian" program has become a pioneering national model in empowering women and enhancing their economic and leadership participation, thru investing in their capabilities and providing them with opportunities for growth, development, and creativity. She pointed out that celebrating the graduation of new cohorts of participants represents an achievement added to the joint efforts aimed at enhancing the presence of Palestinian women in various fields and solidifying their role as a key partner in building the community and the national economy.

And Al-Khalili said: "The Palestinian woman has always proven her ability to face challenges and turn them into opportunities for success and excellence, despite the exceptional and difficult circumstances surrounding our people, which makes investing in her capabilities and experiences a developmental and national choice at the same time."

Al-Khalili stated: “Palestinian women have consistently demonstrated their ability to confront challenges and transform them into opportunities for success and excellence, despite the exceptional and difficult circumstances facing our people. This makes investment in their capacities and expertise both a development priority and a national imperative.”

The minister Al-Khalili added that the graduates’ achievement extends beyond the completion of a training programme, rather, it represents a significant step towards strengthening self-confidence, developing leadership and professional skills, and enhancing their ability to make decisions and drive change in the workplace and society. She called on the graduates to share the knowledge and experience they had gained within their professional and social circles and to serve as a source of inspiration for other women seeking to fulfil their ambitions.

Al-Khalili commended the partnership between the Bank of Palestine and the partner institutions involved in implementing the programme. She emphasized that coordinated efforts among the public and private sectors, civil society organizations, and international institutions constitute a key driver of sustainable development and the expansion of women’s economic opportunities. She further affirmed that the Ministry of Women’s Affairs regards the economic and social empowerment of women as an investment in Palestine’s future, and that building a more just and prosperous society begins with providing equal opportunities for women and girls and strengthening their full participation in public life and decision-making.

In concluding her remarks, Al-Khalili congratulated the graduates on their achievement and wished them a continued success, progress, and leadership. She expressed her hope that their graduation would mark a new milestone in their professional journeys and in their contributions to Palestinian economic and social development.
