The Ministry of Women’s Affairs released a report on the occasion of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, which falls on June 24th. The report emphasized the pivotal role of Palestinian women in conveying the Palestinian narrative to the world, defending national and human rights, and strengthening Palestine’s presence in international forums, amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation and its grave violations against women and girls.

 Minister of Women’s Affairs, Mona Al-Khalili, affirmed that Palestinian women have proven their presence as active partners in diplomatic and human rights work, contributing to amplifying their people’s voice to the international community and defending their cause with justice and competence. She stressed that enhancing women’s participation in diplomacy and decision-making is not only a right to equality but also a national imperative that strengthens Palestine’s ability to garner international support and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes and violations.

 The report noted that Palestinian female diplomats and experts have played a prominent role in recent years in strengthening Palestine's presence within the United Nations and human rights mechanisms, and in highlighting the violations suffered by Palestinian women and girls. This contributes to supporting international monitoring, documentation, and advocacy efforts, and to promoting accountability for crimes committed against them under international law. The report also emphasized that enhancing women's participation in the diplomatic corps aligns with the Third National Action Plan for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325, and strengthens women's presence in prevention, protection, relief, recovery, and decision-making efforts at the national, regional, and international levels.

 The report emphasized that enhancing women's participation in diplomatic work is a cornerstone of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, requiring the adoption of policies that guarantee equal opportunities in recruitment, promotion, and access to leadership positions, along with providing programs to build the diplomatic and negotiating capacities of young women. It also stressed the importance of strengthening Palestinian women's diplomacy based on the principles of justice, human rights, and international law, thereby contributing to conveying the narrative of Palestinian women to the world, promoting accountability for Israeli violations, and ensuring women's active participation in political, diplomatic, and legal efforts aimed at ending the occupation and achieving justice.
