Al-Khalili participates in the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Pakistan.

The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Khalili arrived in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, to participate in the Ninth OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, where she was received by the Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, Farah Naz Akbar, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Zuhair Al-Hamdallah, who leads the diplomatic efforts accompanying the participation of the Palestinian delegation in the conference, and oversees arranging bilateral and side meetings for the delegation with several participating delegations and officials, thereby, enhancing Palestine's presence in the conference proceedings.

 The participation of the State of Palestine in this conference comes within the framework of the Ministry of Women's Affairs' keenness to enhance its presence in regional and international forums, convey the reality of Palestinian women under the current circumstances, and emphasize the importance of supporting their rights and strengthening their resilience, in addition to, expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise with the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The conference, hosted by the Government of Pakistan over two days, is held under the slogan "Social, Economic, and Political Empowerment of Women in OIC Member States: Challenges and Future Pathways," with the participation of ministers and high-ranking officials from the member states of the organization, alongside representatives from international organizations, OIC institutions, and development partners.

 The conference aims to enhance cooperation among member states, exchange experiences and best practices in the field of women's empowerment, and discuss policies, legislation, and programs that support expanding their participation in various social, economic, and political fields, thereby contributing to strengthening their role as a key partner in achieving sustainable development.

 The conference also discusses the challenges facing women in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, ways to develop mechanisms for joint work, and enhancing partnerships between member countries, leading to the formulation of practical recommendations that support efforts for the social, economic, and political empowerment of women.
