As part of her tour in Bethlehem... Al Khalili visits the Convention Palace and the Solomon Pools area.

The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Khalili, accompanied by a delegation from the ministry led by the Deputy Minister of Women's Affairs, Buthaina Al-Salem, as part of her tour in Bethlehem Governorate, visited the Conference Palace and the Sulaiman Pools area. She was received by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Conference Palace, George Bassous, who guided her and the accompanying delegation on a tour inside the palace facilities, where she reviewed its sections, halls, and photo exhibition. The tour also included the Sulaiman Pools area to observe it’s historical and heritage value and the reality it faces amid ongoing attacks and violations by settlers.

The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Al Khalili emphasized the importance of preserving Palestinian historical and heritage sites and safeguarding their national identity, commending the efforts made to preserve the Solomon Pools area and enhance its historical and tourist significance. She also emphasized the importance of documenting the violations faced by Palestinian heritage sites and strengthening the partnership between official and local institutions to protect them and highlight their civilizational and cultural value.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of the Conference Palace, George Bassous, welcomed the visit of the Minister of Women's Affairs and the accompanying delegation, emphasizing the importance of this visit in highlighting the area of Solomon's Pools and the repeated assaults it faces from settlers, in addition to, showcasing its historical and touristic value. He also reviewed the efforts of the Conference Palace administration in promoting the site, preserving its cultural heritage, and enhancing its local and international presence as one of the most prominent historical and tourist landmarks in the Bethlehem Governorate.
