The Minister of Women’s Affairs: Settlement and Settlers Terrorism Affect all Rights of Palestinian Women.وزيرة شؤون المرأة: الاستيطان وإرهاب المستوطنين يؤثر على مجمل حقوق النساء

Ms. Muna Al-Khalili, the Minister of Women’s Affairs stressed during her meeting with Mr. Moyad Sha’ban, the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in her office in Ramallah for strengthening cooperation between the two parties, the need to strengthen the resilience of Palestinian people, particularly Palestinian women in camps, villages and cities despite all challenges. 

She also said that the government will employ all potential to support the resilience of Palestinian people, rehabilitate and reconstruct what had been destroyed and demolished and document and submit all Israeli violations and crimes to the international court of justice.

On his part, Mr. Sha’ban stressed the need to work jointly in order to expose the Israeli settlers’ crimes against Palestinian houses, lands, farmers and women. Also, the need to network with all civil and international society institutions, and that the commission is ready to support this process with reports on violations and practices committed by settlers.

In turn, Mr. Al Deek stressed as well the importance of team work in such matter, and the need to prepare reports and intensify field efforts, in order to, show the real picture of settlement and occupation violations and their impact on Palestinian women in particular.

Lastly, Ms. Al-Khalili concluded, “There is a targeting of the national project and everyone must stand by his responsibilities to promote the resilience of the Palestinian people”.

أكدت الخليلي على ضرورة تعزيز صمود الشعب الفلسطيني وخاصة المرأة الفلسطينية الصامدة في الأغوار والمخيمات والقرى والمدن برغم جميع التحديات والمعيقات التي تواجهها، وأشارت انه سيتم العمل ضمن الأمكانيات الموجودة لدى الحكومة لدعم الشعب وصموده وإعادة إعمار وإصلاح ما تم هدمه وإتلافه من قبل الإحتلال، وضرورة توثيق جميع الإنتهاكات وتقديمها لمحكمة العدل الدولية لفضح جرائم الإحتلال.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء وزيرة شؤون المرأة منى الخليلي مع رئيس هيئة مقاومة الجدار والاستيطان الوزير مؤيد شعبان وذلك لتعزيز سبل التعاون المشترك ومقاومة الاستيطان وفضح جرائم الإحتلال، جاء ذلك خلال زيارة أجراها وفد من هيئة الجدار والاستيطان الى مقر الوزارة في رام الله .
وبدوره أكد شعبان على استعداد الهيئة في تقديم التقارير الخاصة بالانتهاكات والممارسات التي يقوم بها المستوطنين، وأشار الى ضرورة العمل المشترك لتوجيه البوصلة على جرائم المستوطنين تجاه الاراضي الزراعية والأراضي الرعوية والاعتداءات على النساء والمنازل والاقتحامات، وضرورة التشبيك مع مؤسسات المجتمع المدني والدولي والعمل كوحدة واحدة برغم جميع التحديات،" ونحن على أتم الجهوزية للتعاون".
ومن جهته، قال وكيل وزارة شؤون المرأة داود الديك أن العمل المشترك مهم جداً لعرض أثر الإستيطان على المرأة الفلسطينية التي هي أساس وجزء من مسيرة النضال الفلسطيني،ويجب إعداد تقارير وتكثيف الجهود الميدانية لإظهار الصورة الحقيقية للإستيطان وإنتهاكات الإحتلال.
وإختتمت الخليلي اللقاء بقولها"هناك إستهداف للمشروع الوطني وعلى الجميع الوقوف عند مسؤولياته لتعزيز صمود الشعب الفلسطيني ".
